Head of the Jelgava City Council (Latvia)

Andris Ravins

We dedicate our mind and soul for the development of the City, aiming to establish our role as a European heart for education, culture and sports, with general prosperity of the population and competitiveness in the Era of information technologiesWe strongly believe that Jelgava, being the fourth biggest city with about 60 thousand citizens, can become widely known as a city for science and advanced manufacture, able to attract foreign investment; enterprises would compete in the global market successfully.

Our citizens are getting more and more proud of the city – not because of new objects of infrastructure and social projects, but also a logical continuation for such development was creation and approval of a development strategy; through it we can now see main development directions for the coming years.
